Delete your account
Applies to the rewamp apps (Android, macOS, iOS) · publisher: rewamp — [email protected]
Delete from the app (fastest)
- Open rewamp and go to Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Deletion is immediate and permanent.
Delete by email
If you no longer have the app installed, email [email protected] from the email address linked to your account, with the subject "Account deletion request". We will verify that you control the address and delete the account, normally within 7 days and at most within 30 days.
If your account was never linked to an email address, it is anonymous: it contains no personal information, and simply uninstalling the app makes it unreachable. You can still request its deletion from the app before uninstalling.
Delete some of your data — without deleting your account
You can remove parts of your data at any time while keeping your account:
- Unlink your email address — Settings → Account → Detach email. Your account goes back to being anonymous; the address is removed from our server.
- Favorites, playlists and folders — removing a favorite or deleting a playlist in the app deletes it from our server on the next sync.
- Community playlists — withdrawing a published playlist removes it from public view.
- Anything else — email [email protected] from the address linked to your account to request deletion of specific data (for example your playback history). We respond within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your account identifier and linked email address.
- Your favorites, playlists, playlist folders and synced preferences.
- Your public display name and community playlist submissions.
- All active sessions on all devices are revoked.
What is kept
- Playback statistics are anonymised, not deleted: plays are unlinked from your account so aggregate popularity charts stay accurate. They can no longer be associated with you.
- Short-lived technical server logs, until they rotate.
- Data stored only on your device (downloads, local statistics, settings) is removed by uninstalling the app.
