Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 30, 2026 · applies to the rewamp apps (Android, macOS, iOS) and rewamp.app

In short: rewamp is free and ad-free. There is no advertising, no third-party analytics and no tracking SDK. We collect the minimum needed to run the service: an anonymous account identifier, your optional email address if you choose to link one, your library and playlists for sync, and anonymous country-level playback statistics. We never sell or share your personal data for advertising.

1. Who we are

rewamp is published by Yohann Magnien. For any privacy question or request, contact [email protected].

2. Data we collect

3. Data that stays on your device

Downloaded music files, files you open from your device, listening statistics shown in the app, visualizer settings and all other preferences are stored locally. Local files you play are never uploaded.

4. What we do not collect

5. How we use data

To operate the service: syncing your library, computing popularity and featured content, moderating community playlists, fixing broken files, and securing accounts. Nothing else. We do not sell data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

6. Sharing

We share data only with the infrastructure providers that host the service (our server host and Cloudflare, which serves our content delivery network), acting as processors on our behalf. Playlists you publish to the community are visible to other users under your chosen display name. Donations and in-app purchases, where offered, are processed by Apple or Google — we never see your payment details.

7. Retention and deletion

8. Security

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (TLS). Accounts use signed tokens that you can revoke from the app at any time.

9. Children

rewamp is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. The app requires no personal information to be used.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the EU GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, export or erase your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Most of this is available directly in the app; for anything else, email [email protected] and we will respond promptly. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

11. Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and adjust the effective date above.
